Shelley Doxey BVetMed (Hons), BSc, MSc, MRCVS. has been practicing conventional veterinary medicine since graduating from The Royal Veterinary College in 2002. Her job often involves seeing animals in pain and discomfort and she has developed a keen interest in the management of pain in animals, particularly chronic debilitating conditions such as osteoarthritis and care of geriatric animals.
Due to these positive experiences in treating animals with her acupuncture, hydrotherapy and therapeutic exercise programmes, Shelley has recently developed a keen interest in alternative medicines using herbal remedies and is committee member of the British Association of Veterinary Herbailsts. Shelley has undertaken further training in the use of Western Herbal Medicine and is the second veterinarian in the UK to have attained a postgraduate diploma in its use.
